I hate Walmart

EXCEPT when they have GOOD movies for cheap. Last night Annie, Hailey and I ran to Walmart for the essentials and i left with 4 new movies. They were 3.98 cents each. That is practically free cause they werent even like the old stupid movies in the 5 dollar bin. I got Nacho Libre, Catch Me if You Can, World Trade Center and Failure to Launch. 4 movies for the price of one. I really felt triumphant after this trip.

leftovers=yuck

My roommate Angenelle thinks that shes better than me, and this is why...because i wont go home with her for lunch to eat leftover funeral potatos that have been sitting uncovered in the fridge since sunday night.

GROSS. I will be enjoying honey roasted peanuts and a can of Dr Pepper for lunch instead and i personally believe not being poisoned by the nastiness that is HARD cold cheese and potatos...makes me better than her.

Meltdown vs. Comeback

Its about time i tackled the hardcore stuff on my blog. What really really matters, you know?



What has gone wrong with Britney Spears? It is really a tragedy. You keep thinking "she cant get any worse" I know i thought that when she was on that Dateline show with Matt Lauer looking like white trash and smacking her gum...well its only gotten WAY worse. Again...BFF with Paris Hilton...way worse than gum smacking. Farther downhill she falls.


"It couldnt possibly get worse?" you think, well then she shaves her head and starts wearing torn fishnets with her gut hanging out, smoking and dancing on stripper poles for her video. Uhhhh seriously? In and out of rehab. VMA performance. And now she lost custody of her kids. SERIOUSLY BRIT. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? She was so darling. It really boggles my mind and i cant get enough of the her news. And its because it is just so sad. She cant even take care of herself, so how is she supposed to care for her kids? I just feel so bad for Brit. LOVE YOU GIRL.

my pretty pretty house

So we are done with the house...for now. Its always going to be a work in progress but this is what we have so far...

The same corner that Stef was painting. The 8 foot lovesac, the tv and the drapes that we added big strips of black satin onto..the windows were too big for one panel, but too small for two. Simple solution. I think it looks awesome. The shiny satin on the drapes matches the shiny exterior frame of the tv.
the beautiful couch that we bought from our neighbors garage sale for 35 bucks. The one we had before had pretty much no batting and appeared to of been dipped in grease. We have plans to cover it...so i guess thats the one thing we have to do. As well as cover the piano bench seat with the tan micrsuede we are doing the pillows in.

So we had ANOTHER party at our house, this time for our friend/co-worker Rodney. It was another surprise party with a little bit of a latin flare...A FIESTA! We did a cupcake and salsa bar, had lots of dancing and i finally broke out the flatware. It was a good time, i am so burnt out though. I would be happy with nothing ever going on at our house again.

Except for Angenelles Halloween themed birthday party in october, as well as the spa night we are doing in october as well....never endingggggggggg.

WTF?

FINALLY

my front room is going to be done tonight! we are going to go pick up my new Vizio 37" flatscreen after work, and one of the technicians from work is going to come over and install it onto the wall so that there will be no wires showing...its going to be sweet. Stef got some floating black shelves from ikea to put under it to house our dvd player and cable box...and we most defenitely wont be watching waterskiing...more like the Bachelor and Greys (both start next week! yes!)

*****UPDATE******
so i was literally in tears when i found that we had gotten home and i bought the wrong wall mount...which didnt matter anyway because it came with no hardware...so we couldnt mount it...Secondly, we discovered the wall the tv is being mounted on is drywall on brick, so there are no studs, no hollow wall to run the wires, so its going to be hung tomorrow, but just the wires will also be around just hanging out. I guess just saying hello to all of the people watching the tv.

---other than that its beautiful and so pretty and wonderful and i love it.

ok so i cut off like a foot of hair, and it still is long. well i swear its shorter than these pictures but apparently its not.

So i did end up getting my haircut, but the picture my roommate took at the salon of the after is so ugly i am not posting it. i didnt love the way the stylist styled my hair, so i will put a picture up later of the finished product styled by me....here is the before...

Haircut

I am getting my haircut right after work tonight and i was debating on leaving it long with just a trim and more layers, or cutting it like katie holmes. A short little bob with bangs-but with an a-line like unto posh spice. Im going with the bob, and i will try to post pictures tomorrow along with our darling new curtains that we made last night. Our house is SO CUTE! i love it!

Wolf Parade

For the last couple of years my friend Rhyll has been the owner of everything wolf-related. When she was younger, instead of being one of those 5th grade girls who loved the majestic beauty of a wild black beauty, or our shiny ocean friend, the dolphin...she loved Wolves. So her family started buying her wolf stuff. She was 23, 24 and is now 25 and still getting wolf paraphernalia for her birthdays from her parents. She doesn't have the heart to tell her siblings or parents that she grew out of the phase 3 weeks after starting it.

And over the years, i have bought her various wolf things.

Well the tables have turned and now i am receiving wolf items from my friends. Hailey worked at Jacob Lake all summer and brought me back this little gem. She bought it in an XL so that i could wear it as a dress, which is what i did when my roommate dragged me 80s dancing. I thought it would embarrass her but come to find out, the people who go 80's dancing in Salt Lake are nuts, so it didn't matter. But Casey got the same shirt and he just so happened to be wearing it the same night. Isn't that cute?

Caseys birthday party was last night...he was supposed to be in Israel for work, but they cut him out of the budget last minute..he was pretty bummed that he was going to be in provo for his birthday so i decided to throw him a surprise Israeli themed birthday party. On Monday night he had the idea of going to dinner with a few of us, and i was like "well dont you want to do something great? its your birthday!" and he was like "well everytime i expect to do something wonderful on my birthday i get let down." It was the perfect attitude for a surprise party. So we whipped it together fast, made some colorful yamakas and shouted "MOZELTOV!" when he came in. HE WAS SO SCARED, it was hilarious. After the scare he was very excited and very gracious.

Casey i love you! Hope this birthday wasnt a let down!
