The Mormons & the Baptists

They would have a choir sing, and then we would have our choir sing. It was seriously awesome. The contrast in the two were amazing but my roommate said it best...
"We sing the music that touches souls, they sing the music that makes you want to shout praises".
There were lots of AMENs, lots of HALLELUJIAHs

it was a good time by everyone in attendance and I am obsessed with this new partnership.
AMEN!

EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING

Seriously folks, do you have a friend on itunes who sleeps on your couch? No? I didn't think so...
But i bet she would be your friend if you bought her music....

My personal favorite is Everybody Felt This Way...but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Not to mention the entire album is cheaper than a BRC/Loco Salad/Dr Pepper from El Pollo (my fave)
Love you KY! You're going to be a superstar in no time.

i'm 27 now.

this is me as a little lady. My mom scanned these in and i think they are cute so i am posting them...funny how nothing has changed. I still love to sleep and i still love cupcakes. One thing has changed...can you even believe my hair was that white?
As i mentioned earlier, yesterday was my birthday. I spent it in the hills (Beverly Hills that is) among some people you all have heard of and have seen on TV. Sounds like a glamorous birthday, no? Not glamorous at all...quite the opposite. I was working. From 7am till 7:30pm. Not like the craziest workday but i haven't gotten up at 6 in QUITE some time and thats always brutal.
Melissa and Wyatt took me to dinner at El Torito Grill where i had my first taste of flan. OH MAN. So delicious. I love dairy.

i guess i have one shiny tooth.
After dinner we headed over to the movies to meet up with Peter, to see the worst movie of the year, The Crazies.
Today i slept in until 11 (it was glorious and also totally screwed up my schedule...obvious since im blogging at 3:20), finished a painting and then headed out to dinner at Wood Ranch with some of the great people i have met here in LA over the last little while. Loved every second of it. We then headed to some of my girlfriends house for cake and ice cream and a little lovefest (always so fun when its for someone else...awkward for yourself) and chatted with Amanda and Cami till the wee hours of the morning. It was a good day.

the party girls that lasted until the end....
long brown hair is in. sorry you didnt get the memo, cami.

and a paparazzi picture of Amanda, just because i think she looks pretty.
ps isnt it cute that they put that birthday sign up in vinyl? I love my friends.
My birthday was fantastic and low key, and now im 27. Got to start showing something for all these years of life, eh? eeek.
Tomorrow i am heading to Joshua Tree and Palm Springs (a first time for both! I'm really excited, i better get to sleep.)

why am i awake?
-Tonight i went to Peter's to watch American Idol. Its sort of turned itself into a regular weekly ritual. Well tonight we were having some technical difficulties with the remote and so i was playing on my phone as he fixed it...as im playing i get a text message with scary eyes face. He starts laughing. HYSTERICALLY.

the picture doesnt really do the situation justice, i promise he was laughing way harder and it was really funny. BUT HOW SCARY IS THAT PICTURE? that girl has the craziest eyes.
-Tonight for enrichment we did pilates. I have never done pilates, and you know what...i didnt hate it. You know what i do hate? Jillians 30 day shred. Sure, i only did it once...but it was 9 dollars down the drain because i haven't even attempted to turn it on again.
-I'm working tomorrow at 7am in Beverly Hills. That means i have to get up at 6am. AHHH not good. Oh, also, happy birthday to me-12 hour workday.
-Im videochatting with Lindsey right now...we are both in bed.

shes still got her retainer in. Im not wearing a shirt.
-I did some paintings for a friend who has a famous boss that shes giving these to of her famous bosses dogs.

worst photo obviously, but its the best i got until she sends me better ones.
No one should have 4 dogs. TOO MANY DOGS.
and with that being said...i shall go to sleep.

calligraphy...not so easy
UHHHHH yeah right. We are going to practice everyday. I'll get super good and be able to charge 3 dollars an envelope for your wedding invitations. Cool?

dont judge. its the first run through.
Calligraphy is HARD.

i'm getting kind of good at the "Ms." though.
and dont tell me to take a class, cause i am not patient enough to do that.

Why is this so fun?
Tonight the chat session was with Mr Stone.

he was new to video chat...had never done it. Look at the excitement in his eyes.

he soon discovered photobooth and was having a ball.

I'm posting this one cause i like his one raised eyebrow, and that reason alone.

Aren't we funny?

and I'm posting this one because i find it impressive. That is an exact mirror image of half of his face. It took a long time for him to hold still long enough to take this little screenshot, but we did it! Weird to see what your face looks like totally symmetrical.

the Bachelor Wedding
Oh well, here are some screenshots.

my midget legs...

peek-a-boo!

Oh Chris Harrison...you dreamy little turtleman.
I only took the screenshots from the first 45 minutes cause i got tired of doing it so i quit, but I'm in there a lot. The wedding really was that disastrous, Jason Castro is my friend now (download his song, That's What I'm Here For....i did. I listened to it over and over again that weekend and knew all the words, so i am a bit partial to it.), Gavin Degraw helped me carry a box of pink flowers across the resort (really nice guy), and Molly's wedding dress really was that pretty. The reception was insane beautiful, and I did get to catch up and say hello with my old friend Jesse.

My two cents on the Oscars
My contribution? Oscar Bingo and the official scoreboard & scorekeeper.
also known as the sucker who bought all the prizes
Dave took home the big prize....the Cafe Rio gift card worth a WHOPPING 10 dollars.
i think he ended with like 12 correct picks or something?Who cares...
honestly by the end of it, i was glad i had chosen to slip into some comfy sweats so i could sit back, eat fajitas and banana pudding and just critique all the dresses. My favorite of the night, the beautiful Rachel McAdams. Shes always lovely isn't she?
seriously though how can we make that dress modest and wearable to church?Someone figure it out and get me one, thanks!
Other moments worth mentioning...
- the sytycd number. Saw Janine at the Getty on Saturday, I'm guessing she was somewhere in the midst of that routine?
- does anyone else think Mo'Nique was tooting her own horn?(she was amazing in Precious, yes) Also don't get me started on her Barbara Walters interview. gross.
- Sandra Bullocks win. I love her. I don't really love that she won...the blindside doesn't really seem like an Oscar winning movie (i did love it), but nonetheless she was lovely and humble and funny and stunning.
- IN YOUR FACE JAMES CAMERON. So glad his ex wife won. Avatar sucks.
- Robert Downey Jrs bow tie was ADORABLE
- Miley is too young to be at the Oscars, but she did look flawless and beautiful
- Kristen Stewart is annoying
- LOVED that Crazy Heart's "Weary Kind" won best song. LOVE it. Love everything on that album. Collin Ferrells voice is the bomb.com
- Ladies, if you have stretchmarks on your arms, please wear something that covers them? Too much to ask? MODESTY IS ALWAYS IN STYLE. IT NEVER GOES OUT ITS IN.
- Alec Baldwin is always funny.
- The Breakfast Club kids look like drug addicts. I really think Molly Ringwald is going to be really pissed when she goes back and watches herself on camera. She was all kinds of wide eyed and creepy.
- That one lady who got up and stole the mic from the Prudence Director. WEIRD.
- everyone else looked amazing and stunning except Charlize. WHAT WAS WITH THAT DRESS? it looked like someone was standing behind her holding her boobs with pink satin mittens. Hideous.
