Merry Christmas/Bah Humbug

This year I didn't get to go home for Christmas like orginaly planned.

So i stayed in bed till one with my phone on silent, and watched movies on USA. Depressing i know. I tried my hardest to convince myself that it wasn't Christmas and i wasn't missing out on anything, and some of the time it worked, but mostly it didn't because my family and friends were calling nonstop reminding me that I was still very much alone. (Sorry guys, i didn't answer any of your calls because I didn't want to be bawling...don't take it personal).

But don't worry, I was only suicidal (kidding) half of the day, the second half was spent with miss Melissa Morales at Sherlock Holmes.

where we saw our friend Peter's name in the closing credits! So exciting! Associate Producer, Peter Eskelsen!
Loved the movie by the way.

Then after wards we had a mini photo shoot so I could have proof that i left my house on Christmas Day 2009.

Went to see Nine last night. Guess who else went to see Nine last night? Lauren Conrad.

We sat in the same row.

Basically we are BFFs now.
ps. that movie blows.

as does the Lovely Bones, saw that one earlier this week where the girl who played Cher in the tv version of Clueless was sitting in front of us.

just a lot of run ins with the tv crowd at Landmark in LA.

Brain Dump

-I'm working A LOT. Emphasis on the a lot part. It's great, buries exhausting.
-speaking if work, tonight there was an event at the store, filled with really wealthy horse people. Yes, you read that right. HORSE PEOPLE. Let me just say this...I don't think there is a more boring groupof people than those who love horses.
-Now that I'm in LA, I spot celebrities sort of often. I saw Seth Rogen shooting a scene at a Shell gas station last week & Quinn from Glee was in the store yesterday. Remember how I used to do the celebrity gossip segment on Kim's radio show? Yeah, sort of feels right that I live amongst these people now, huh? Ha.
-I'm going to do a painting for Ellen. Not because she asked me to but because I really want tickets to Ellen and I think if I act like a fool outside of her studio with a huge painting of she and Portia, I just may have a chance to get in for this 12 days of giveaways business. Seriously folks, I will act like a MANIAC for Ellen tickets. You're going to be embarassed for me but don't be, because I will get some pretty sweet swag.
-I can't get enough of the song "edge of desire" by John Mayer. Love it to the point if obsession.
-Anybody watching (and loving) Friday Night Lights? I am, obviously.
-I haven't been drinking much dr pepper these days. Really sometimes a few days goes by without one and I'm perfectly fine. That makes me somewhat proud of myself. I thought I was extremely addicted.
-Saw 2 movies recently...Brothers and Up in the Air. Both good, both depressing. Next movie I want to see is Sherlock Holmes. It better not suck. (sidenote, my friend worked production on Sherlock, and he's really worried people aren't going to see it....uhhh I think it's safe to say it's going to do extremely well)
-Only a few more weeks until my magazine print debut. I can't wait. More excited about that than Christmas.
-Speaking of Christmas, I am working Christmas eve and the 26th so we will have to pray for a Christmas miracle that someone takes my shift or I am going to be eating christmas dinner alone at the bowling alley diner by my house.

Ok I'm not spell checking this because I wrote this whole post on my phone, in the bathtub. TMI?

It's been a while...

The title of this post is supposed to be sung like that terrible song by nickelback? Creed? I don't know. It's a bad song.

I haven't blogged in a while...haven't had a computer other than my little phone and when you're out of the blogging habit, life seems boring. Which yields to...not much to blog about.

-it's almost Christmas, and my little (teensy 1bedroom) apartment doesn't have a single decoration. How depressing is that? I have been listening to lots of Pandora Christmas radio and of course loving it. Fav Christmas songs...don't make fun...
"little drummer boy" by Jessica and Ashlee Simpson
&
"O holy night" by N'Sync

I know. Terrible huh? But it's true. I love them.

-I saw the movie "Precious" last night. Now, I don't like to see R rated movies usually, but I really wanted to see this film and I am so glad I did. Yes, it's disturbing. Yes, it made me itchy and want to shower right that second (everything in the movie is covered in sweat, it's disgusting). Yes, it was depressing and yes it was FILLED with F words....and yes, one of the best movies I saw this year. It was important. If you think you can stomach it, go see it. And if you can see it in a fancy movie theatre while sitting on a comfy leather couch with a nice boy...do that too.

-I know I'm late on this but...ADAM LAMBERT! what the? The guy is doomed. Seriously, he isn't going to sell records by being a filthy nasty human. That was so barfy, was it not?

-now that I live in LA I better be able to see ELLEN. Does anyone know any tricks to getting tickets? She gives away free stuff and I feel like I should get some of her free stuff.

-You won't be dissapointef if you buy the 2010 Real Simple Weddings annual magazine. More on that when it comes out...I don't know what exactly will be included but I did speak with a reporter and an editor and I know the wedding is 1 of 10 featured but we'll see what it actually looks like in January! So exciting!

-I am working at anthro again. Woohoo! Looking forward to smelling like the store...not. How good are "not" jokes? Ha. The smells give me a headache but I am actually looking forward to it again. I feel like I dress better when I work there. Not just because I have new clothes (won't have the funds for it this time around :( sad) but it forces me to be more daring and I like it. Plus, new friends! Friends that I didn't make at church which hardly ever happens! Already made friends with 2 girls just at the interview...

-wouldn't mind a prescription for ambien these days

-I'm watching the rockafeller tree thing right now and Michael Buble is HOT.

That's it. I'm done and this teensy touch keyboard is giving me a hand cramp.
