Pioneer Children Sang as they walked and walked and walked and walked and walked and walked.....

Did anyone else hate that song in primary besides me? And am i the only who who feels like the hymn "If You Could Hie to Kolob" is very similiar to my most hated primary song? There is no end....to that song.

ANYWAY, so this pioneer day (im a few days late) i spent it with relatives. Relatives i didnt really know were my relatives before pioneer day.

It was so fun (and totally special/touching/tender/cool) to find out the ties between me and Casey Lewis, one of my very best friends. We share the same ancestor Neriah Lewis Sr. Caseys family comes from Neriahs first wife, while my side comes from his second. Its quite a family tree and we are a few branches apart...maybe even on totally seperate sides of the tree...but it was cool to go back and read stories of my ancestors. I am really growing into this Spirit of Elijah business.

Plus i found out my great grandmas name is Zola, and my great great grandmas name is Adaline. How cute are they!?

crazy for HAIRSPRAY!!!!

Hairspray is the best movie of all time.

I went with Jeff to see it last Saturday night. We were really excited to see it. I have heard nothing but great things about the broadway show, and Jeff actually just barely went to New York last month and saw the show, so he was PUMPED. We had perfect seats..its funny he had to work late so i went to save us seats, and he was like "i feel like such a dork cause i was like 'uhhh 1 for hairspray!" funny. Anyway it was so good and i sat there beaming from ear to ear from start to finish. And ever since then i have been dancing and singing to You Cant Stop the Beat and without Love, and waiting until i had the chance to go see it again. So i made Doug come with me on Saturday night and this time i loved it even more! It is just so entertaining. GO SEE IT!

I have plans with Jeff and Casey to see it again on wednesday....we cant wait to make Casey a fan!

OK so i learned my lesson and i will be hitting spell check before i post things.

This weekend was pretty fun, sadly no pictures from the entire weekend which is totally odd, but oh well. I went to salt lake with casey and jeff to hang out with jade and kyle. It was fun, we stopped at IKEA where Jeff reanacted the opening number of Good Morning Baltimore, in one of the mock rooms and kitchens. Also we ran into Kalai at checkout. Mormon celebrity sitings are always SO SO SO COOL. I just wish we would of seen Kirby Heybourn (so dreamy).

Yesterday i went to Thai Locust in Salt lake with Cameron and Mike, jade and Alyssa. It was gross. I dont know what it is about me and germs lately but i felt like i was sitting in a room covered in filth. I used to really like whole in the wall type of places, but i was so grossed out. The creepy waiter man who was literally atleast 60, gives me my water, and its a glass cup, which is fine, but i dont know where its been, so therefor i am not putting my mouth on this dirty resturaunts cup. So i ask him for a straw. He acted kind of annoyed but fetched me a straw, UNWRAPPED, and put it in my drink for me. Which is when i discovered he had a NUB pointer finger that had a long nail growing on it. LOVELY. I guess you can say i ate a few bits of my food and didnt drink anything and left hungier an crankier than before i entered.

What Cleanse?

Ok so the cleanse was hard. And not exactly what i was expecting, but i am going to give it another shot starting tomorrow. My friend Jade is going to do it with me, so that will be easier. Being at work while everyone is eating waffles and fruit and snacking all day is just not fun. I had this big jug filled with urine colored juice, and i had a HEADACHE like none other. So i think starting on a weekend is a better idea, when i can nap away most of teh day so i dont have to think about being starving. Cause apparently that goes away after a few days. But i can handle it with a partner, so thats why Jade is my new favorite person. But until tomorrow...i will be drinking Dr Pepper and eating Cafe Rio...yummmmm.

Domestic Goddess?

Ok, so i am not trying to pretend like i am this amazing domestic queen, but do have a few tricks up my sleeve. There is a girl at work, Beckie, and she has a blog domestichappenings.blogspot.com where she posts all of the domestic things she does and good ideas and things she wants to try. It is REALLY fun to look at I am going to start doing this but not in a seperate blog, just RIGHT HERE for your enjoyment. Lately i have just been painting a lot, not really domestic as much as it is creative, but its still fun and i will still post things. I also got some knobs at Anthropologie that i want to drill into a board and turn it into a hanging coat rack type of thing. Cute, no? I will post pictures when all of this is settled and done in real life.

And this doesnt really have to do with anything domestic, but i am obsessed with the Colbie Caillat CD. It is SO good. Every song is good, but my favorites are Capri and Battle. And then there is always Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" song which i cannot get enough of...

the Master Cleanse

So Brittany is doing the "Master Cleanse" and out of curiosity i am deciding to join her on this journey. What you do is drink salt water in the morning to flush you out completely...and then instead of food you drink this lemonade mixture. I am starting in the morning and i most likely am going to have a killer headache (no dr pepper), and be really grumpy (i am mean when i don get to eat.

I have a friend who has done it 3 times and she lost 15-20 lbs each time...which seems like a lot, but really i just want to feel good and healthy and so we will see if after 2 weeks of eating nothing if i am healthy and happy...uhhhhh

I hate the idea of starting a blog, but i am constantly peering into the lives of all of my friends and family via their blogs, so its only fair right? Just be aware that my life is boring so get ready for a good nap.
