Power Trip

Tonight I went to the Wilk Ballroom to listen to Nie Nie speak to the students about real beauty.

It was great.

But thats not what this is about.

We got there at like 6:45, it was starting at 7...we knew it would be crowded.
Well when we get in the ballroom, there are tons of seats but everyone is of course saving them.
They had made an announcement that at 6:45 you could no longer save seats.
So we found a row that these two girls were saving (the entire row).
And as we stood there waiting to sit, on the loud speaker, a co-ed gets on and says,
with the BIGGEST attitude:
"If you're saving seats, you can't anymore. Scoot towards the middle of the row"
It was sort of abrasive, but whatever, we needed to sit.
So we sit down (the girl who was saving was HUFFING and PUFFING and so mad at me)
And i guess they were still having major problems so she says something again on the loud speaker
"YOU CAN NOT SAVE SEATS. MOVE!"
or something like that.
It was harsh and weird.
Everyone sort of nervously laughed and was like uhhhh awkward.

She did it a few more times with some other ones like....

MOVE OUT OF THE FIRE LANE!
and
Can everyone be quiet? IM SERIOUS, STOP TALKING

it was so weird.

Oh BYU. Not your finest moment.

(nie nie, you were great)

More Airport Blogging.

This time i'm in Phoenix.

I hate flying i decided. It always seems exciting. I always forget how much i hate it.
I feel sick. I was sitting in between an old lady who was asleep and snoring and then on the other side a HUGE man spilling over onto me, which made me want to die.

Anyway, I picked up the newest US Weekly, so I was able to find out how Kelly Osbourne lost all her weight and HAS KEPT IT OFF!
Its a real secret guys. Working out and eating right.
You're Welcome.

I didn't start this blog to ramble about my hour and a half flight,
but to tell you about 2 products that i fancied in the latest issue of SkyMall
(only good thing about said hour and a half flight).

First of all, you have to be a real idiot to spend $149.95 on this...
at first glance I thought it said the price was 14.95 and i was like SOLD.
But alas, it costs a lot more than a movie ticket, and therefor is no longer in the joke category.
This chair is real.
The description says that its tall so you can use it at sporting events for stadium seating.
GET A LIFE. That guy is NOT dressed for a sporting event.
Also, maybe lets just sell lifegaurd towers for stadium seating while we are at it.
This is an oversized camping chair and its made for real dummies.

A change of pace...you are not a dummy if you buy these....

I WANT THEM.
Mermaid fins? Are you kidding me!
They are 29.95. A little steep. I was sort of hoping for dollar store pricing.
If you're a mom of girls, with access to a pool...if you love your kids you will buy these.

Ok no more airport blogging.

i'm still laughing about that chair.

Thoughts from the Airport

I'm here at the Sacramento Airport waiting for my flight to Salt Lake, and I just am really bored.
Deal with it.

-Why do I always get stuck in line with the people behind me that have no concept of personal space? The creep and hover, at what feels like, inches away from my neck. No matter how many times I loudly sigh or don't move in line (showing said creeper that I like a lot of space between me and the person in front of me) they don't get it. Every time you barely move they take two steps forward. IT DRIVES ME INSANE.

-My mom is very weirdly obsessed with checking in as early as possible online for her flights. She was basically ashamed of me that I didn't check in ahead of time. As we were pulling into the airport we had a conversation about how she basically has forgotten how to check in at the airport and how she always uses the Skycab. I was like "Barf! you pay extra to check in outside? that's dumb" and shes like "Pay extra? that's why I check in at home so that i can check my bag outside." I then explained that the Skycab is for convenience and she's supposed to tip and she said "Maybe in LA but not in Sacramento!" uhhhh sorry mom, its common knowledge.
PS MOM, I'm in group C...are you stressed?

-I purposely sat far away from all the crowds, not to be bothered. Well a family of 6 just came over here with freaking gross smelling food and I'm about ready to puke, but I feel too rude getting up and moving. It will be obvious. There are other places for them to go, why did they have to follow me?As seen here

-I always think, maybe on this flight i will randomly be sitting by a hot guy that will fall in love with me. It hasn't happened yet. I'll let you know if it does happen.

-My layover in PHX is long. Don't worry, I checked ahead, they have free wifi. THANK THE HEAVENS.

See you Fetchers in Utah.

About the Author

I am flying to Utah tomorrow for a bit before I head back to LA,
so I promise you, Memory Lane is over.
Well after this post it is.

While going through some of my things at my moms place,
I came across this hilarious book that I not only wrote but also illustrated.
Today is your lucky day.
(maybe this will only be funny to me)

I scanned all the pages of my book, including the front and back covers.
Here it is in order.

cute picture, i know.
I am really good at picking flattering pictures of myself, always have been.

obviously the back cover had to be fancy and done in cursive.

So maybe my art skills haven't improved much, but good thing my handwriting has. BARF.

Also I would like to make note that in 5th grade I obviously liked my boys in Gecko shirts with parted hair and that I was very resourceful/creative using those stupid dot stickers that everyone has but never uses, as little globes.

If you don't think that book is both hilarious and also darling, get a life.

Mr Pumice to the rescue

Ok this is probably TMI but my feet are sick.
Not the shape or my toes or anything like that, but like dry and gross and i could never be a foot model....

UNTIL NOW.

If you have never used a Mr Pumice, pumice block, RUN to Sally's and get one.

They are like 1.50 and the best thing to happen to my feet.

I know this is a dumb thing to blog about, but i cant possibly be the only person with with problem.
I would never have gotten my feet cured without this.
MOVE OVER PedEgg, you are nasty and a cheese grater filled with skin.
Get this Mr Pumice stone wet and leave it in your shower and scrub your skin smooth.
Seriously, you will thank me.

Easy A with Dougystle

Tonight i went to see the movie "Easy A" with my friend Doug.
aka Dougy-style or Dougy-doug-doug-doug
-4 copy
BRAVO Emma Stone and Easy A, you successfully dethroned Lindsay Lohans smash hit Mean Girls as my favorite teen movie.
DOUGYSTYLE
This movie was hilarious. So was the company.

What was also entertaining was the man in front of me who was NONSTOP texting.
He came into the theatre alone,(made an entrance, jumping over staircases and handicapped rails)
He was probably about 60? Texting a woman named Lynne Gilchrist.
Basically the conversation was the entire length of the movie and went like this.
lynne: How are you?
?????
man: ????? i miss you. you must miss me too???!? Y / N ??
lynne: NNNNN
?????
man: I'm at RR (red rock) at a movie. Meet me here. In theatre 1. Our usual seats Y/N??????
lynne: ????????????????????????
man: I am not complete. I am half, you are the other
lynne: ??????????????
man: We love eachother. This is wrong. It is a strong emotion.
lynne: n????????
man: I wish you were with me. On my arm, my hand on your leg
??????????
this is not right. come meet me for a drink
lynne: no
man: pls??!?! Y / N???
lynne: gnight

it went on and on and i missed half of the movie because i couldnt stop snooping.
IT WAS HILARIOUS.
I wanted to tap him "shes just not that into you buddy. let it go"
but i couldn't. Was he maybe mentally challenged?
What do you think? Y/N ????!?!?!

Sidenote, i went to dinner with my friend Mark. I can't leave him out.
But we didnt have a photoshoot, so naturally, not as fun.

Why me?

last night i was up until 2:30am. I woke up at 6:30am for no reason.

today i drove in a car for 9 hours. im exhausted. I CANNOT SLEEP.

my head is pounding. I'm supposed to be asleep on a leather couch which i think is the problem.
I am a diva sleeper. The couch is sticky, and its not wide enough for me to flip around and spread out and i am losing my mind.

I've watched Survivor, Hellcats, Top Model, If I can dream, and an episode of greys.

WHAT THE HELL!!!?!?! I'm so tired!

I need ambien.Its 4:30am.

Nerd Alert

I sort of love the JoBros. Not nearly as much as Justin Biebs though.

Last night i regressed back to being 11 or 12, and i DVR'ed Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam

I fell in love a little bit with Nick Jonas.

Start it at 1:51, The back story is he is trying to get this girl to like him and she complains that she doesnt know anything about him...so this song is called "introducing me" and its pretty dumb, but i already know all of the words
(maybe i bought it on itunes on my phone WHILE it was playing out on screen. I know i know. I'm ridiculous. Sorry)

ps if you ask me, the girl he is trying to win over is BARFARONI.
Come on Disney, you have cuter actresses than that.
Like my little pal Gabes.
HIRE HER.Click to enlarge and see what i mean by ADORABLE.
Its her dream to be a Disney star.
i'm serious.
LOVE HER.

Memory Lane

As stated before in a previous post, i'm visiting my hometown of Folsom for a bit.
The other night, i did a drive by of the 3 homes i lived in here and it was sort of nostalgic, mostly i felt like a really creepy lady. But for the sake of journaling...here they are.
northlexington
North Lexington Drive House

My family moved to Folsom in the summer of 1991. I remember being devastated leaving my best friend Allie Hobbins and my school Trabuco Canyon Elementary. I shared a room with my sister Megan (the room on the top left), she used to coach my to sleep ("wiggle your toes...now toes to sleep....now shins to sleep, knees to sleep" so weird, and i thought she had magical powers like she was trained as a 6th grader to hypnotize me to sleep), we would listen to the hip hop station 102.5 at night ("in between the sheets" really appropriate for children), have fun playing with balloons and drawing faces on them and making balloon families like they were barbies (i was weird). North Lexington is the house where we welcomed and also said goodbye, to our family dog, the Maltepoo known as Scruffy (he was run over by a car). I also remember building a "teepee" in the backyard and staying in it for hours while snacking on saltines, pretending it was the only food left on earth or something weird (i guess i was an imaginative child). I also remember collecting bark and trying to wittle the bark into people or boats and thinking i could get good at it and sell them. OH GEEZ. I was like 9 and 10 so relax everyone.I should also make note that this house is where i officially started my awkward stage as shown above. Erin is wearing the shortest of shorts and holding that dumb dumb dog Scruffy.

keller
Keller Circle House

A year or two later we moved around the corner to Keller Circle. I started walking to school with Erin Silva, my next door neighbor. I was excited to live so close to Erin and Lisa White. My enemy Stephanie George lived across the street, we were on the same soccer team and for some reason we didnt like eachother. We became friends in HS and still couldnt remember why we didnt like eachother. I used to love jumping on our trampoline in the backyard, dragging it to the basketball court and loving being able to slamdunk. Our backyard had strawberries and kiwis and grapes that grew...that i dont ever remember eating, but i thought it was really cool. This is where we got our first cordless phone, I used to love sitting outside with my friends on the tramp and pushing the channel button over and over until we could listen in on a neighbors conversation.

My dad and sister had a paper route, and so we always ended up with sunday paper samples. I specifically remember living off boxes and boxes of cheddar sunchips leftover from the paper. It seemed like we had those for years. My mom used to hide the lunch treats (like the little debbie cakes and stuff) in the laundry room cabinets, and we always found them and ransacked those really fast. This is also the house where my sister Erin got her eyebrow pierced (didnt go over so well). She was ordered to wear a bandaid over it. HILARIOUS.

brattleboro
Brattleboro Ct House

We moved here when i was in Highschool, maybe jr high? And i loved it because we moved next door to Mike Cuevas, who was a year older than me in school and TOTALLY hot. He played basketball, as did I, and we would sometimes play together in the front yard. It took years for us to actually become friends, i was always to nervous to be normal. HILARIOUS. My mom thought it would be a good idea to get a dog here...who knows why. So she brought home a little teeny black cockerspaniel that Jordan named Barkley, after Charles Barkley. I liked that dog for approximately 1 week and then hated it. I used to get paid 20 bucks to mow that lawn. I think i used my first 20 bucks from lawnmowing for a pair of daisy duke shorts at Clothestime. HAHAHAH. My sister Megan started dating Justin (my brother in law) when we lived here. She would basically lock herself in my moms room and sit on the bed talking to him on the phone. I caught them making out once in our bedroom with the door closed. He had his hands on her butt and I WAS LIVID. HOW DARE HE? I guess I was a big time 14 yr old prude. I painted my room with blue stripes here, and got really serious about decorating...it involved a lot of Abercrombie bags hanging on the walls, Roxy ads ripped from magazines on the door and a denim quilt. It was obviously a REALLY cute room.

Oh Folsom. You are Hilarious.

if anyone out of my family read all of this, i am really impressed.

I'm SO Proud!

I have some pretty successful friends, who most of you might recognize.
I'm just so proud of my little pals.

-Kylee was asked to write a song and perform it this last weekend at the wedding of Jesse Czincsack and Anne Lueders. UM NO BIG DEAL, RIGHT? What the? She sang it as the bride walked down the aisle. It will probably be televised somewhere at some point, and when it does, you will hear about it.dont forget to buy her EP on Itunes

-Dave is a television master. He's been in commercials all over the place. Here is his latest.

he shows up at about :22 and looks down at his blackberry.

there is a lot more where this came from. (Cadillac, Boost Mobile, Intel...etc)

Hes good

Cool, right?he is at :22, looks down at his blackberry

-Aubrey is taking single matters into her own hands. She went to a casting call for the Bachelor, and got a call back, but decided against it because she ultimately wants a Mormon man...so...she and some of her friends started a website devoted to finding her a Love.

So far its had quite a bit of traffic...shes making herself famous! Impressive!

Hilarious, right? Good luck, Aubs! I hope you find your husband.

-Chelsie is a super talented dancer, but not only that...she has great style! She made it onto Entertainment Tonight's Cojo's Best Dressed list for the Emmys! (And announced today, her newest partner for Dancing with the Stars is, the one and only, Michael Bolton! I hope she choreographs something to "how can we be lovers if we cant be friends")

I'm such a proud mom.

-----

Side note, i'm obsessed with Mad Men. I know i am a little bit late to the Mad men train, but I have successfully finished the first 3 seasons and caught up on the 4th...all in a week and a half.

Now that is something to be proud of.

blogger is making me crazy today and making the spaces and everything crazy.

So i am giving up. WHY IS IT DOUBLE SPACED?
