brain dump

-Working on the windows and installation of the new concepts in my store. So fun to work with the visual team. Its kind of funny, i've been begging to get some visual hours...I know its something I can do. I have no doubt about it, but the people i work with don't know me. You know? So i got there at 6 this morning, ready to craft and they put me to work. I dont think that they had a clue what I do...it was kind of fun. They asked me to come back tomorrow, so my regular shift got canned for visual hours. Glory glory. I'll post some pictures when its done, but so far its looking really cool and I mastered the sewing machine today.
-Lovin' American Idol. Watching it right now actually.
-The iPhone battery sucks. This morning i had the iheart radio app open listening to Ryan Seacrest and by 9am my phone was basically dead. So annoying.
-I'm moving on Saturday. Thrilled. My own room again, its going to be so nice.
-Last night after watching the Bachelor, I got in my friend Carrie's car, and we look at eachother and we're like "what is that smell?" OH DONT EVEN WORRY. I stepped in wet DOG POOP. We were dry heaving and gagging left and right. It was everywhere. On my shoes, on my purse, on the door handle in the car (dont ask, i dont know). It was disgusting. Second time I have done that in the last little bit, both times at Ruel's house. Its so disgusting.

here i am cleaning my purse in total disgust.
-Cuzzy Alyssa is coming to LA tomorrow for the rest of the week for work. Im so excited to see her.
-Its KITTY's Birthday! Happy Birthday Roxanne!
-Going to Disneyland with Nicole soon, my pass expires on the 20th...still debating on renewing it.
-Speaking of Nicole, shes coming to LA to teach her Art Weekend classes. Paula is coming up for the weekend, she's spending the night and we are going to craft like crazy and then go see Will Ferrell, Demetri Martin and Zach Galifinakis!

My Little Buddy

Lincoln is my little buddy. Yesterday we made cookies. If you follow me on twitter, you've already seen this photo but i just couldnt help it. Hes just such a cute little buddy.

ISM Exhibit Santa Monica

A fun night with great company and every hipster in LA. We stood in line for a good 45 minutes to see hundreds of polaroids tacked to a wall. Thats it. Some of them were cool most were just whatever and lame but it was still a good night out. I like my LA life.

Its finally here!

Well, the magazine is out. Its pretty too. I'm really happy with it. I count myself very lucky that i was even mentioned (however, i would say i was a little but more involved than just stitching banners and hanging streamers!) So exciting though. I am very happy with it. The scans of the pages can be found on my other site just scroll to the bottom and click on the last two photos to read it.

First things first.

REAL SIMPLE WEDDINGS COMES OUT TOMORROW. Thats right folks, my wedding planning publication debut is tomorrow. RUN, dont walk, to your nearest bookstore or newsstand to buy it. WOOOHOOOO! It feels like Christmas eve.

Next order of business. This hilarious blog written by my friend Christian and his brothers titled DON'T DO DUMB THINGS if you need a good laugh...which if youre normal and regular you should (i do)...then run dont walk over there as well. And then bookmark it and leave a BAJILLION COMMENTS.

and lastly, WHY CANT I FIND LAST NIGHTS FNL ANYWHERE ONLINE? Its driving me insane!

Yesterday was a good day.

I was browsing J. Crew and ran into an old friend from high school. The lovely Ashley Rivard. Who i found out actually lives really close to me. We are going to lunch next week. I love her. Shes not one of those from HS that i would hide from if i spotted. I actually saw her and then stalked after her like a total fan. Shes darling. Oh and shes an actress now and this is her head shot. ha.

I then met up with KR, Rhyll, and Pet and we headed to Korea town to meet up with some friends (some Korean) who were in town...Now if you know me, you know im a PICKY eater. Korean food does not sound good to me so you know i really wanted to hang out with these people or i would not of partaken. Oh and you also know i must have been real hungry.

Lots of meat. We ate LOTS of meat and LOTS of onions. It was actually delicious.

Then we headed to a Korean coffee house where we were the only white people, and we were taking pictures like tourists. Its funny how the tables turn.

See? I mean the place was cool. Way cooler than any normal coffee shop. Also we had shaved ice with ice cream and fruit and mochi and RED BEANS. Which was weird but delicious also. Maybe i should of been born Korean?

I then watched the Bachelor with some friends (one of which works on the set so he was able to give us some pretty good insight...i wont ruin it for you) and then i found out that MELISSA!!!! is moving to LA at the end of the month. YESSSSS!

Seriously shes one of my most favorite people in the entire world. And she will be here...my neighbor (not really but much closer). LOVE IT.

its a tv show about a group of guy friends who play fantasy football. Kylee introduced me to it and its freaking funny. All episodes can be found on Hulu. Seriously folks. its good.

NYE

This year for New Years Eve I got to decorate for a friends dinner party

my friend peter took the photos for me, and he sent me this one with the typeface on it, and it made me laugh.
then we headed down to San Diego where we danced all night, then went to a friends house and hung out where i convinced my pal Todd to take off his jewelry and let me wear it (that's really ALL his...13 bangles and 4 rings)

and then headed to the classy Motel 6 (so disgusting, I couldnt sleep)

the next day, after a stop in Coronado for breakfast and La Jolla for shopping, we stopped at the new Cafe Rio in Lake Forest

where we ran into a few of our friends...one being Mr Monti Smith, who happened to have a LIVE snake in his sweatshirt. NOT KIDDING.
