Short men

I just finished Bossypants by Tina Fey this morning and I was curious as to what her husband looks like.

Uhh...hes teensy.
I looked it up and she is 5'4" and he is my height, 5 ft.

I always find it fascinating to see men with women who are taller than them.

I don't think this is ever something I am going to have to worry about, unless I decide to date a 10 yr old, but I would like to think i wouldn't care (i totally would care)? The shortest guy I have dated was 5'7", and that was fine cause i could still wear 5 inch heels.

I found this clip on youtube from a 20/20 where a woman says the only way she would choose a 5ft man (who is a millionaire) is if all the rest of the men were murderers.
Are you THAT shallow?

Have any of you dated or married, shorter men? I'm curious.

I'm slighly above average in height at 5'7". My SO has a back disorder and is consequently shorter than he would have been otherwise. On a good day we're just about even on height, but if I put on heels it's all over. I always said I'd never date a guy shorter than me, but when someone is that awesome and funny, those things just don't register as a problem.

I'm only 5'6" but I dated a guy for almost 4 years who was only 5'4". He was fine with the height difference, but I had serious issues with it. I wore high heels once around him and felt like we were mom/small son, not bf/gf. Ha ha.

Anyone who knows me well knows I have strong opinions about this. I don't care if girls refuse to date guys who are shorter than them, it's the girls who are 5'2" who refuse to date guys under 6'0". Or really, any guy less than 6 inches taller than them.
I know everyone has different views on this and it's fine. Being almost 5'11" it's just hard to sympathize with my (many) girlfriends who've complained about guys being "only" 3 or 4 inches taller. I get it, they're used to guys being a lot taller. But it's still annoying.
And yes, I've dated shorter. I probably wouldn't have been able to do it if I was still insecure about my height. One day I just got over it though because I realized I'm not getting any shorter. (This was actually when I decided to start wearing heels.)
It's not just a matter of height though. Two guys who are an inch shorter than me will wear their height completely different. I've been around guys who are only an inch or so taller than me when I'm in heels and they get completely uncomfortable and awkward. Such a turn off.
The guys who can own their height make me feel a lot more comfortable. I dated a guy for about two years who was a smidgen shorter than me but loved when I wore heels and it honestly got to the point that I seriously did not feel taller than him. Another guy was maybe an inch taller, but same thing, loved when I wore heels, and it never felt awkward.
Also, an inch shorter and 20 pounds lighter is a completely different story. The height is one thing to get over, but a really skinny short guy......I haven't been able to do it.
For the record, I get that we all have our hangups so, whatever, I'll try not to judge the girls who can't date "short" guys even though they're still taller. (Maybe those girls should just complain to their short friends instead of me?)

I'm 5'10" I'd totally date shorter, not significantly shorter, but like 2 or 3 inches doesn't bother me at all.
