Maybe you guys will all think i am dumb and rude but i dont care.
I hate this sort of crap, and this is my blog and i can do what i want.
All of these photos make me cringe.
None of this is real, its all cheezy set ups.
I'm just not into it.
I know, like, EVERYONE ELSE IS.
Which is fine, but i just want you guys, my friends, to know I am not into it.
If i ever have someone come and take photos of my family, it will be us doing normal things.
Not spelling words out, doing dog piles or any of that sitting on a velvet couch in a wheat field.
NOT REAL LIFE.
i'm sure these people are all nice, but they have terrible taste.

I'm with you on some of these. The velvet couch in the wheat field? Random, weird, and overplayed. You know what else is? The photo of the family, all in bed, with the photographer shooting from the feet, focusing on the feet. It's weird. I feel like there's a few "unique" shots a few photographers thought up a few years ago, and now that's all anyone does. Over it.
that first one is terrible. but im def into velvet couches in wheat fields.
Kid dog piles on a bed is actually the most "realistic" of all of them... of only a newborn wasn't on top! At my house that is pretty typical.
I'm with you I like the casual style but I have to say, sometimes these funky shots reflect more on the photographer than the people in them.
And I love that you are open and bold about everything on your blog, it's why it's fun to read!

Aw, I like the chalk board one- but I see what you're saying! :)
I know the family on the last one - the pose is awkward, but I wish I had 4 kids that were that good-looking!
I know the mom/photographer on the last one - an awkward pose, but her kids are pretty good-looking!
