Why is this heaven sent ice cream only sold in Texas? I discovered it my first night here when my dear friend Lanni took me to a walgreens to get a few items...i bought a digornio pizza, tortilla chips and queso, a case of waters and a little teensy pint of this delicious strawberry ice cream. It was the cheapest kind, which is why i was first drawn to it. And i noticed that it didnt have a plastic seal around the top so i hesitated thinking it might be poisoned...but then i quickly got over that and bought it anyway. The next morning i opened it and ate the entire thing throughout the day. So when i finally made it to the grocery store last friday i bought this normal sized carton. And i have been rationing it, so its still more than half way full. I only eat it a spoonful or two at a time, and since its strawberry i feel like i am relatively healthy still. Ridiculous i know, but Im being serious. Its so delicious and it stays soft and creamy even when you turn your freezer to the coldest possible dial (i tested it, i was so curious to see if it would get hard).
If youre ever in Texas, buy Blue Bell Ice Cream. Its not the cheapest kind when you go to Krogers (this bad boy cost me 6 bucks), but if you go to walgreens the pint is only 1.75! You wont be sorry!
(one of my texan friends told me that the cookies and cream has WHOLE cookies in it...i shall try that next if i ever make it to a store again.)
