First let me just say that i have never nor will i ever do drugs. That being said, we just had a conversation in our office that i have had a few other times in my life, and one that i find very interesting. If i didnt have the standards i have, would i do drugs and what drugs would i do.
Well for me, this is easy. I would smoke weed of course.
Why?
First of all, have you ever smelled pot smoke? It smells good. Not like the best smell ever but its sweet and nostalgic (of highschool...not that i smoked in highschool, i didnt. i never did...never will. My mom is freaking out as she reads this, i know it). Second, when you are high youre relaxed and having a good time...who doesnt want to have a good time? (Fortunately i am high on life so i dont need to doctor my mood to achieve relaxation or fun)
The other ladies in the office chose speed or heroine or abusing pills. They said they could get things done, maybe lose some weight...so that would be their choice. I think weed is a better choice because taking a pill or a line of crack or whatever...that is SO SCARY-i watch celebrity rehab guys...i know all about crackheads...NO THANKS.
Is this a weird blogpost? I promise i am never going to smoke ever. I dont even want to. This is just all hypothetical.
ALSO I DONT THINK ANYONE SHOULD EVER DO DRUGS AND I ALSO THINK ALL DRUGS SHOULD BANISHED FROM THE EARTH.

i'm with ya, shauna. while drugs are harmful and i think people should definitely think twice before shoving toxins into their bodies, weed would be the way to go!!! it's so chill. it's the ultimate kick back drug. i mean, just listen to bob's music. it can't get much more relaxed than that!
OK wait a minute, lets not eliminate all drugs. Lets think about Nyquil, Tylenol, Morphine and epidurals....i know having baby can be orgasmic :) but you need drugs.
I am right there with you on the weed though, Loritab would be a tie.....If mom reads this she will really freak out. I am not going to lie, I am a fan of drugs, not the celebrity rehab type...well you know what i mean.
Having siblings that do drugs is NOT cool. So I hate drugs! Plus I feel totally outta control on the mildest form of prescription.I'm a weeny.
Try having a sister that just got booked this week for possession of drugs---WEED doesn't even sound fun.

This is all hypothetical so I don't really feel bad that I was the one that was so vocal about speed. I am already fat...really fat...and I can be pretty chill most of the time so marijuana is not something that I would ever be interested in. Every configuration of parents I have been blessed to call a mom or dad have been involved with marijuana and to me it smells like burning garbage and makes me nauseous so I wouldn't be interested in it for those reasons either. I'm just saying...

You're pretty nasty. I guess some people that know you read your blog, but a lot of people that don't read it too, therefore it is funny.....and nasty. and pot smoke does NOT smell good.
Shauna, you are so funny. I have had this same conversation too, ya know, which word of wisdom rule would you break if you didn't have the values, etc... And because of my naivete in drugs, I have always chosen getting drunk. The hangover does not sound fun, but man sometimes I wish I could go and get really wasted. Although you might be winning me over with the weed. ; )
I think weed smoke kind of smells like cow poop.
But I think I agree with you. Who would want to be all tweaked out? If you've ever been around anyone while they're tweaking, that should be enough of a deal breaker right there. Doesn't look fun at all.
But I could probably enjoy chilling out and laughing at everything.
We used to play this game with alcoholic beverages. Mine would totally be something fruity and social and frozen like a margarita or pina colada, or something SJP would sip.
And I agree, weed smells sweet and reminds me of football games, ah high school in seattle during the 90's
i definitely think weed smells like skunk a. seriously. and it fries your brain cells and makes you want to eat all the time. if i would be frying my brain cells anyway, i would go with cocaine - at least it doesn't smell and makes you skinny!
weird weird weird. i just had a conversation about drugs with my coworker and he said if you're on lsd you could figure out the universe in an hour (sounds tempting, i'm in). also he said ecstacy is just another form of prozac, so a lot of people are already kind of on drugs, legally.
so i think i would try lsd once or twice. and maybe smoke weed a little. heroine is out for sure.
i'd smoke pot. either that or roofies...they make it so you're not responsible for your own actions.
all my uncles on my moms side have lived a live of smoking pot. they aren't normal, and it was the pot or heroine for sure. on the contrary, my aunt leads a totally normal life while smoking pot. moderation in all things?
