Popcorn Cupcakes

start out with large cupcakes made with the large muffin tin
frost with buttercream
candy popcorn with caro syrup, sugar, and a packet of lemon jello
make red and white striped cup holders
and ta-da! Little buckets of delicious popcorn!

well it was candied popcorn. So the kids loved it. i tasted it and it was pure sugar and i wanted to vomit.

Is that regular candied popcorn? How did you make it? I seriously want to know. So so cute, Shauna. And they seem like they wouldn't be too hard to do on a large-scale. Love it.

k the candied popcorn is not hard. 1 cup karo syrup, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 3oz package of jello (i used lemon to give it the illusion of butter)...in a sauce pan on medium heat stirring constantly for 3 minutes, pour over popcorn, mix it all yada yada, the end.

if you dont want to have fruit flavored popcorn (its pretty sick) you can skip the jello packet and just add food coloring i would imagine.
