Here is something you may not know about me.
I am a Connector. I connect people. I discovered this a few years back when I was reading the book "The Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell. I learned that one of the things i am good at, is connecting others.
If you are a close friend of mine, you have no doubt, been set up on a date that was probably pretty successful...gained a good friend or two (or 10) through me. I am told a lot "You know everyone!" And while that is a stretch, I do probably know more people than you.
The only reason i am writing this blog is because i did a painting for my friends Jen and Peter, and i wanted to share it with you without just putting up another painting. I know you are all getting so bored with them, but they are my little babies and i just want to share them!
Anyway, Peters family moved to Folsom and into my ward when i was a freshman in Highschool. Peter is a year older than me, and somewhere in this beginning period of our friendship, my sister started driving he and his brother Tom, to seminary everyday. Peter and i were good friends all through highschool, we would go to the gym together, swim at his house, i watched him try to learn to wakeboard, and went to pretty much all of his football and basketball games. When he left on his mission i sent him packages, and we have stayed friends over the years.
When i was in Provo i connected more of my friends to Peter. We would go to his house to sit in his hot tub, and play loaded questions (thanks pete, its still a big favorite amongst us all). We would frequent Provo Towne Center to see movie after movie...somewhere along the way i met Jen. We were in the RS Presidency together, and became pretty quick friends. We would hang out (being that we were nieghbors), and over a few weeks (maybe it was months), i decided she should meet Peter. They would get along, i was pretty sure.
Anyway, that was like, 4 years ago or something...K maybe not that long, but pretty close. Finally after what seemed like an eternity of dating...Peter asked Jen to marry him and they were recently married in the Salt Lake Temple.
not to be forgotten....
i'm also responsible for this family. YOURE WELCOME GUYS.
